SMX Madrid Agenda Set For May 20-21 Event

The agenda for the first Search Marketing Expo - SMX Madrid is now posted. Here’s the link to the the site, but if you don’t read Spanish you should probably keep reading here. SMX Madrid will be held May 20-21 and will be conducted in Spanish.

Program highlights include first-time appearances in Spain for SearchEngineLand’s Danny Sullivan and SEOmoz’s Rand Fishkin. Danny will be on the hot seat for a Keynote Q&A and Rand will be delivering a keynote address.

Here are some other highlights:
• Google Search Quality Analyst, Luisella Mazza, will address questions about SERPS and indexing issues.
• There will be two sessions about developing applications for social networks. Eric Tholome, a Group Product Manager at Google, will discuss using the new Google OpenSocial API. In addition, Gi Fernando, director at techlightenment UK, will lead a hands-on workshop for developing Facebook apps.
• If you are obsessed with landing page optimization, professor and design philosopher Ariel Guersenzvaig will conduct a practical, 90-minute workshop using the paper prototyping methodology. You’ll learn how to optimize landing pages to boost conversions in this break out session.

Others speaking at SMX Madrid include:
• Ariel Schvarztein, previously responsible for the online activities of Expedia in several European markets, on paid search
• French writer Bernard Girard, author of “The Google Model: A Management Revolution”
• Ismael El-Qudsi, previously Windows Live Search Manager
• Fernando Maciá, author of the first and only book on SEO in Spanish
• Nuño Valenzuela, Search Marketing Director from travel website MuchoViaje.com

SMX Madrid will also feature several presentations on targeting markets around the world including: Thomas Bindl - Germany, Motoko Hunt - Asia, Rand Fishkin - North America, Andrew Girdwood - Britan, Matias Perel - Latin markets focusing on Brazil, Lenner de Rijk - the Dutch market, and Massimo Burgio, Italy.
